Misunderstood

Prejudging is what most of us are guilty for.

We would never admit how many times we have prejudged things and got it wrong.

Our eyes can deceive us even when things look clear.

Have you ever thought a person was discussing you as a topic with another person because they stopped talking when you walked up?

How about the moment that person you respect passes by you in a crowd without speaking; you may assume they saw you and was being rude.

As human beings we have countless moments in life that we misunderstand things as well as being misunderstood ourself.

I do not believe we will be able to bypass misunderstandings.

It is up to us to mature to a place where we learn to communicate effectively what we perceive things to be.

Just to make the record clear, some times we are correct in what we see.

What do we do when our seeing is not really what it is?

Personally, I have grown to a place where I ask questions to gain understanding.

I am also mature enough to acknowledge I misunderstood a person, communication, or gesture.

It has become more clear to me that misunderstandings only get serious when we do not seek to interpret things correctly.

When I look back over my life, I am aware of time wasted just assuming instead of comprehending what is really taking place.

In order to get a grasp on things we must be willing to communicate, and even admit when we are wrong.

It may be my age, but I want peace more now than I ever have.

If it only takes a small gesture or a question to interpret things correctly, and it is worth it.

Do not allow misunderstandings to build up that it affects how you maneuver in life.

Seek not to be understood, but seek more to understand.
