After having seven babies within 9 years, my weight was up and down.
Being pregnant my highest weight was 205 lbs.
When I stood on the scale at the doctor’s office I gazed at the numbers in disbelief.
How could I have allowed myself to get this big!
At the moment I forgot all about being pregnant.
It took me a few days to calm down and get my mind right.
My doctor said I was fine, nothing wrong with a few pounds when pregnant.
For me, this was more than a few pounds this was over 30 lbs gained.
Eventually, I faced reality, accepted this was a part of being a mother and that I had control over things once the baby was born.
How many times do we focus on what is happening as a final stage in life?
When we have the wrong perspective about our situation we tend to react in ways far more dramatic than is necessary.
I view my weight gain as a permanent life-sentenced rather than healthy weight gain to carry what was then over a 10lb baby.
What are you looking at in your life that has you making wrong decisions?
Settle your mind long enough to look at your circumstance from a healthy point of view.
Remind yourself this does not call for a fixed but flexible solution.
See your life in a season that will not last.
Whatever is taking place now really has an expiration.
Embrace the season knowing it will change and you will be better for it.
