If you grew up in the 70’s thru 90’s you are familiar with this question from the book or movie called Snow White.
It is a question that most little girls as well as grown women ask daily.
We may not say those words but we look into the mirror with questions and some times dislike of what we see.
The mirror never lies.
The person standing in front of the mirror may lie about what they see.
We spend so much time looking in the mirror of reflection asking, “why did they not love me?”
“Why am I so different?”
“What caused them to abuse me?”
Question after question in the mirror of life.
If the mirror could speak back to you, would you like the answers?
The truth is that life is unfair, people can be cruel, and hurt people will always hurt others.
Our reflection may have started out in rejection, abandonment, abuse, or sickness, but it doesn’t need to stay that way.
Within the story of our life we have the inner strength and power to change the future even if the history is rotten.
It will require much courage to begin the journey of recovery and self-love, but it is worth every step.
We must stand in the mirror and look deeply into it and decide, you are valuable and important.
Every day you will need to face the ugly facts of your history that screams reasons your are not worthy!
But you have a God-given creative power that can equip you to write a new page in your future each day.
Do not compare yourself with anyone, just focus on your inner self.
Today is a wonderful day to look into your mirror and declare….
I am worth it.
I am valuable.
I am strong.
I am unique.
I am not my experience.
When the mirror of life doesn’t say what you want, stop listening and focus on your journey to being the best you.
