Just Appetizers

Today is a special day! No it is not my marriage anniversary but my four-year blogging anniversary. Super excited!! Who knew I would last this long. I started this blog not knowing what I was doing and certainly challenged in my writing but knew I needed to do it.

Like anything else in life that we do long-term we must be committed. I was sitting down for a few minutes of a break just now and realized I had not written anything today for my blog. Just opening my page and seeing congratulations made me grin from ear to ear. I actually made four years:)

Many days I questioned myself why are you still doing a blog? It does not seem to really be growing; and is anyone really interested in what you have to say? Being able to silence those voices has kept me committed.

Blogging is challenging, fun, and at times a stretch. My mind thinks of so many things that I want to share, but my fingers do not type as fast as my mind thinks. I may need to record my thoughts on a voice memo and then write it later…look at me I just got an answer to my problem.

Starting this blog also encouraged me to start a You Tube channel last year. I love sharing things that I am learning in life, or the mistakes I have made. It is in my DNA to problem solve and share wisdom principles; even when others did not ask lol.

Now that I am beginning a new year, I must become more intentional to write more. Just Appetizers may sound like a food blog when you first hear it, but I love it…small priniciples for life’s big hunger. We are not always ready for the big lessons, but a small lesson helps us grow.

Most restaurants have what they call small plates (still appetizers), they make it enough for you to share. For me my blog is like a small plate, enough for you alone or if you want you can share it:) Things are so much more enjoyable when shared!

It is my desire to reach more people in this year through my blog than the years before. Will you help me grow? Just take a few minutes after reading my blog and share with others. If you are not following me, would you also do that. For my anniversary I want us to celebrate together, as I said before things in life are better when shared.
