Abandoned Cart

Up early this morning ready to do Purpose.

Made my tea.

Opened my MacBook, logged in and ready to work.

The last website I was on before bed came open and instantly I was distracted.

I began to scroll, looking at items that invited me to pursue searching for more.

In excitement this morning I recalled how quick it is to get caught up into looking at things online.

On one of the website I visited a couple a days ago, I had placed things in a cart that I planned on purchasing.

EntryPopUp

You know the cart I am talking about.

It is the one where you click an item, view it and then decide if you will purchase or not.

After adding numerous items to the cart I have the ability to view the items before purchase.

I am sure many of us do what I am about to say.

We view the cart, will either get some or all of the items.

We may opt to leave the stuff in the cart and close the site.

Even though we did not get the items we leave the cart abandoned.

Leaving the site with the cart still filled with items seems like no big deal.

For some reason today I realize it is a big deal.

It may have been a cart online, but I am guilty of the cart in my life.

There have been items in my personal cart called life that I needed but thought the price was too high to pay.

I even had items in my life cart that I thought were optional and treated them with less value.

My online behavior revealed my impulse response to things that I viewed as expensive.

We all have a ticket price we are willing to pay for things.

The cost of accomplishing goals, and being successful is high.

It requires more at times than we are all ready to pay.

I had decided unconsciously that I would pay only so much.

Once I reached my limits, without warning I simply reviewed the items in my life cart and said not now.

How may times have we deleted classes we need to take, a simple change in our diet, or even a book we need to read?

This morning my sobriety is not that I abandoned a cart online, but that I have abandoned some life things in my cart that I really need.

Success is intentional.

There is a price to pay for all things in life.

Right now in this moment I have decided that my life cart may be filled but I will not abandon it.

I would love to hear from you.

Share with me what is in your life cart that requires a great price.

  1. Health was left, I picked it back up again. God has encouraged me and sent encouragers in my weakness.
    This was a wonderful post.
