Image is so important in our culture. Everyone wants to appear flawless, educated, fashionable, social, professional and more. What happens when you have private struggles that you will not face? What does a person do when they have created an image that most believe think is real, but it is half the truth? My answer to these big questions are simple…you must deal with your private struggles. Sure it sounds easier said than done, but it is necessary to keep your life at peace. Think about how wonderful it would be if your private and public life were the same. The possibilities of not playing two parts but just one through life. Your character would not be split into two people but simply one. Ahhhh!!! Yes it is possible!! Now lets talk about what you can do concerning the private struggles.
Since I am not speaking from a place I do not understand I will be glad to share my own solutions. Like most people I wanted to appear together, and even stronger than I was, so I too have been guilty. I did not like the person I had become so I needed to do something about it. In my quest to live One life (lol) I set out to face the demons in my life.
No one can have private victories without facing the real issues plaquing their life. Once you identify the issues, some you can handle on your own while others require assistance.This next step of reaching out to get help means being vulnerable and it is challenging for most of us. If you want freedom more than you want your pride and image you will take the step. For me I found it really made a difference to have help from someone who was living both victorious in private and public. Most people who have struggled privately and been in your shoes are not quick to judge so they are safe to give guidance. Take the leap and confess what is the problem(s) you face.
You can even seek out a professional counselor if needed. 
Remember there is no place for pride here. You want your image to be authentic and your life to be at peace.
Now that I have share these steps with you, here is the final step. For you to have real victory privately you must do the work needed and be realistic in the time it will take for it to come together. What ever you do please do not stop in the middle of the process and do not give in to the fakeness (I made up my own word..Lol) that you call your life.
Life is what we make it. Why not make yours authentic and peaceable. Decide on living outside of culture and be the difference others need to see. Take your private struggles and make them private victories that you will be able to share with others. Your life is a powerful tool that can be used to help others find freedom and hope.
