I love cooking and finding recipes for good food. This year I am trying out a Pescatarian diet. This diet includes loads of veggies, seafood and no other meat.
This is my seventh month on the journey, which has been really good. One of the major lesson I learned is the ability to be open minded. This change in diet has affected my whole life, not just in food choices. I recognized my desire for a more healthy lifestyle.
Wellness has become a theme in my heart that creates new patterns and rhythms for greater peace, productivity, and prosperity.
When I decided to make the change to not eating any other meats but focus on seafood I had no idea it would take me on a journey of self-discovery. Having to learn new thinking patterns that surround my goals for nutrition has also had me engaged in adventure and being uncomfortable.
Has anyone else started a new lifestyle and it led to an increase of self-improvement and understanding?
Speaking of lifestyle change, this whole year in a Pandemic has exposed us to ourselves. Perhaps some of us were reintroduced to our children, spouses, living spaces (we spent more time out of the house than in), relatives, need for wellness and so much more.
When we add, subtract or multiply in one area of our life, we will certainly see the effects in other parts we did not expect.
Doing this pescatarian diet has led me to be more creative, spend time educating myself, and becoming more open to new menus. The overflow is now in my business, self-care, relationships, and leadership.
Has this year challenged you to grow, or are you still challenged with keeping the same recipes for life that you always loved?
If you have recreated some new recipes for your life, what do they look like? Take a moment and share what has taken place with you over the past months.
