
Have you ever awakened, started your day and felt blah? I have lost count on the number of times it has happened to me.
In July I want to engage you all on the topic Emotional Intelligence. Which simply means being actively aware of what emotional state you are in and how you are dealing with everything.
The subject of emotional intelligence is something that should be taught in schools and at home. I personally did not have enough understanding when I first started having children after being married.
Who wants to sit around talking about feelings when you were told weak people are emotional. I giggle just typing that, because it takes a strong mindset to be sensitive to what you are feeling in order to process in a healthy way.
Becoming self ware of my emotions has changed my life in such an extraordinary way!
Today I want to leave you with a question and activity to do, hope you will participate.

How are you feeling right now? Write down how you feel.
You can not say these words…well, good, great, or upset. Describe the emotion in depth.

Activity
Share how your week-end was with a close friend or family. Use key words to describe your emotional status from Saturday into Monday. You may not recall all of them but do your best to share emotional not just in facts.
Example
Saturday I was sad in the afternoon because I realized the disappointment from Thursday of last week was not resolved. All afternoon I wanted to cry, then scream then do nothing at all. It finally hit me I had not process how hurt I was the event I was excited to attend was cancelled at the last minute.
This is going to be a great month learning to identify our emotions so we can live healthy and others can understand us better.
