The other day my Fitbit watch I use to track my fitness, diet and sleep stopped working.

You have to know me to know what that means.

I was not happy, because it was interrupting my fitness goal and I was not going to make be last on the achievers’ list for the week.

After checking the watch, I called in about it and they had me do some testing before declaring it was dead and they would send a replacement.

We say everything happens for a reason and that is the absolute truth.

Life has a way of setting us up to grow or expose us to areas we need to develop.

Instead of getting upset at what appears as a set back begin to reconceptualize it as a good thing working for you.

Ask yourself, is there a lesson to learn or what am I missing?

In order for us to see clearly certain elements must be moved out the way.

For example, with my Fitbit, I discovered how competitive I was and also that I needed to become more intentional on doing more because I was comfortable with the goal I had.

If the watch was still working I don’t believe I would have gotten that lesson so quickly.

Here is the funny update, I woke up today and said let me look at my Fitbit watch to see if it really is dead and gone.

As I looked at it, everything was the same.

Five minutes later a light came on and said HELLO, I stared at it in dismay.

I decided to charge it just to see what would happen.

If you are thinking it started functioning as if nothing happened you are correct.

Not able to explain why it technically stopped working, I looked beyond the moment and was reminded it was all about me comprehending it was a time of growth.

What has taken place in your life this week unexpectedly that was designed to help you grow?

Happy Love Day!
