When it is time to take a break really do it.
Today I had to acknowledge my mistake of not fully being present.
After taking a mini-vacation to relax I found myself engaging in work.
I told myself I will only do a few things and then get back to the fun, but that turned out to be a mistake.
Once I allowed my mind to think about emails, appointments and business plans it kept adding more details to my day.
Finally, after hours of wrong thinking that had my mind going into overload, I detached.
Once I separated myself from work I discovered how tired I really was.
Talk about a lesson learned.
Please don’t be like me on vacation or downtime.
Once you make that transition into self-care or what I call wellness time, do not bring your to-do list with you.
Resist the temptation to answer one email, or work communication via text or phone call.
Let yourself be free to soar in being you and enjoy the small time you have.
Remember the promise you made to yourself to be good, and care for you like no one else will.
I give you permission (this includes me) to focus on you and you alone.
Relish in the quiet of your mind and only being responsible for you.
Eat, sleep in, laugh, dance, meet someone new, enjoy it all.
Work will always be there waiting for you when you get back.
Now is your time, cease it!
