Get Walking

I love walking outside more than anything.

There is something to be said for fresh air, birds, sunshine and the freedom of being outdoors.

Walking began as an exercise routine for me.

The more I walked the more I experienced a calm that would come over me.

One day I set out to do my four miles as usual but was filled with anxiety.

My mind was cluttered with all sorts of things from finance, to my children’s behavior.

All I could do on that walk was to cry.

The faster I walked the harder I cried.

Then I started talking to myself.

I know those passing me in their cars thought she must be losing it when they saw me.

There was no shame for me because my mind was finally experiencing liberty.

As I completed the four miles, the issues that I started with were no longer on my mind.

During the walk, I had released everything and was actually in a good mood.

As I enter my home, peace was all over me.

The weights that I had carried out the door did not come back with me.

Walking became my therapy, because not only was it good for my heart it was great for my mind.

While I walked I increased my health, burned calories, and improved my mental attitude.

If you encounter high-stress levels in life, try walking; it doesn’t have to be fast.

Discover a pathway to peace just simply walking.

Happy Wednesday:)
