Recently visiting family in Canada.
Today I woke up grateful for seeing my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
After reflecting I started my day.
Proceeding to catch up on some work I found myself becoming overwhelmed with all I needed to accomplish.
Two thoughts went racing through my mind.
The first one speculation was about me failing to meet my goals and how I need to get a handle on things.
The second notion was comforting and encouraged me to stay present in the moment of quality time with family.
Slowing down my mind, and refocusing I made a healthy decision to be present.
Just choosing specifically to adjust my thinking opened my place of peace.
Let me share the principle that I use to put my attention in the right place was this;
“Use your time as a gift and choose to invest in those you value, and maximize the moments. Tomorrow will not be promised and today is my guarantee.”
If today you find yourself where I was, simply exhale and inhale to align with what would be your best choice for the moment.
You have the power of free will concerning your time, so be intentional to use it with those you cherish and doing what is valuable in your life
