Choose the right part

I read this great devotion earlier this year that reminded me to make sure  I choose the meaningful over the urgent.

Ever since that day I have been intentional to make sure the urgent and all my action list does not win over the meaningful.

Some weeks I find it more challenging than others.

Whenever the urgent begins to scream at me loud in the day, I pause and assess what I should do.

I remind myself daily; some days hour by hour that I am in control of my time and to be a good steward over my day.

It is easy to become a victim to time, convincing ourselves that time is running away or we just don’t have enough hours to do all that needs to be accomplished.

The fact of life is you are responsible to manage yourself because time can not be managed.

Time keeps going as it always does.

Ask yourself if you are running through life doing all the urgent things that you have skipped over the meaningful.

Once you get the real facts of life, take control and change what you can.

Life is short, do your best to live it daily not just allow life to happen to you.
