Plan with them in mind

I am one of those people who love giving gifts, creating a great celebration and surprising others.

There is something beautiful about watching another person light up at the moment created just for them.

I realize years ago that it takes intentional thinking on the givers part to make sure they are doing things from a pure motive.

It is sad when another person does things to be seen, and make the moment all about them.

To avoid making you the center of attention, here are some suggestions you can consider.

  1. Find out what the person likes, want or prefer.
  2. Listen to what the person you are gifting shares they like and don’t dismiss them.
  3. Use personal preferences rather than your own
  4. Let love lead you in your decision making.
  5. Choose to keep the person as the center of the event.

Remember to enjoy what you are doing for others and keep the person as the center of it all.

Happy Monday!
