It is painful when others make you feel small, or unimportant.
Growing up around people who tell you what you are thinking or feeling is crazy can leave you uncomfortable to share your thoughts in the future.
No matter how many of us say we don’t need anyone to validate us, it does feel good to have one person confirm we are on the right path, or making sound decisions.
For clarity validating another person is simply saying their feelings, or opinions matter.
As a wife, mom, business owner, and coach, I know the importance of recognition in another person’s life.
Although most of us do not set out to harm others by dismissing them it still happens.
When we don’t agree with someone it is best not to take the approach to shame or ridicule them but seek to understand.
It really is easier to be kind to others.
Let’s be the person in life who accepts people for where they are and still treat them right.
Take the posture to build others rather than tear them down.
Even the most confident person is looking for small approval or recognition daily.
Become the one person who speaks positive affirmation into others.
