Get out your head

Doing this blog has me thinking about how to communicate better.

When I first began this blog it was about starting so I could share small principles.

Today, I am more passionate about sharing my thoughts than ever.

Writing has me thinking about all the different things we begin and may not complete based on what we don’t know.

For example, I spoke with my friend this morning and she had these amazing things she wants to accomplish but did not know the details to make it happen.

As she shared her thoughts I caught what she wanted to do and how she could do it.

This made me reflect on the time we can waste trying to figure things out on our own.

After a small conversation, she hung up the phone with clarity and how she would start.

As I close this blog here are some things I want to encourage you to do.

  1. Don’t waste time in your head that you never get started.
  2. Talk with the right person or people who can give you feedback and insight.
  3. Don’t be afraid to sound dumb, trust that those who love you have your back.
  4. We all need people. You can not do life alone.
  5. Be ok with not knowing all the details to what you see:)

It is five years later since I first sat down to write a blog, and every day I am learning how to become a writer and effective communicator.

It is my ‘Why’ that keeps me blogging, growing and being vulnerable to the critics:)

Remember to not be so hard on yourself.

Have a marvelous day!
