Release and relax

The past few weeks have been demanding.

I experienced a few moments of anxiety and stress.

It is stated that 70% of adults in the US say they feel stress and anxiety daily.

Today I want to share several things you can do to release and relax.

  1. Exercise: physical stress on your body through exercise can relieve mental stress.The benefits are strongest when you exercise regularly. People who exercise regularly are less likely to experience anxiety than those who don’t exercise.
  2. Create a routine that includes breathing exercise, essential oils or a candle. There are scents that are relaxing calming. It is called aromatherapy.
  3. Quality time with friends and family: social support, having a sense of belonging, and self-worth helps in tough times.
  4. Laugh out loud and laugh often (one of my favorites): releases stress when laughing, helps the immune system, and affects your mood.
  5. Say NO to people places and things that are demanding and not for you. Protect yourself from adding stressors to your life.
  6. Listen to music that uplifts, calms, inspire and helps you relax.
  7. Avoid procrastination: avoid the catch-up game and the reactive responses that come from not staying on top of things. Make a list, and do the list; prioritize.
