Big girls don’t cry

It seems when we are born crying is the first thing we do coming into this world.

New born baby  cry to communicate their needs.

As we begin to grow, crying is still acceptable but not always tolerated.

We now have the ability to communicate through speech.

By the time we enter school, we hear things like “crying is for babies.”

A person begins to condition themself not to cry as much as they grow older.

Convinced by the time we are a teen into our early twenties that crying makes you appear weak.

Most of us just create other ways to deal with our pain, after all Big girls (boys) don’t cry.

However not dealing with your emotions correctly is a dangerous way to approach life.

Being guilty myself of holding back tears, and telling myself “you will not cry over this,” seemed reasonable.

Once we can control our tears, we begin to tell ourself we are strong.

Strong people don’t cry over things, we deal with it!

What if tears were meant to cleanse our soul?

I have moments where I cried and then was able to move  forward

Let’ look at what crying does for us as human beings.

When we tear up over being hurt,  it allows us to shed pain from our soul.

If you consider yourself a “Big Girl Who Does not cry” you may miss out on a great cleansing.

Now I am not talking about being a cry baby.

Yes some people cry for everything.

This blog is about releasing yourself from your emotional overload.

You may refer to it as sobbing.

Life calls for a good weeping every now and then.

Why can’t Big girls cry if they want to!

I am an advocate for not holding in emotions that will come out another way eventually.

Big Girls are smart enough to know that crying is not for the weak.

Big Girls know if it hurts deal with it in a wholesome way.

Big Girls like me, will cry and never be ashamed!
