Just the word treats brings a smile to most faces.

Treats are associated with the word reward for some of us.
I overheard someone explaining that they were treating themselves to some thing they don’t allows have.
After hearing that statement I reflected on how we view treats and why they are important.
Dogs get treats for being good, or obeying commands.

People who discipline themselves and deny pleasures every now and then allow the pleasure of gratification.
Lately I have been looking deeply in how many treats I give myself.
Honestly I struggle with this more than I care to acknowledge.
Do not get me wrong I delight in certain things, but I can talk myself out of some enjoyment if I’m not careful.
Is anyone else out there like me?
My treat is when I complete my action list (don’t judge me)
Sure I enjoy celebrating and gifts, but I had convinced myself that I had not done anything great but what was expected.
Today I decide to treat myself better than I ever had.
This year alone I have began to plan intentional treats for each month, just to motivate myself more.
Realizing that treats bring smiles and satisfaction to life, I am tickled about what is about to take place.
Some of us are better at certain things than others.
I openly confess, this area is something I had to grow into; it did not come natural for me.
However I have yielded to the expectations of a living a life that includes surprises, thrills, sweet satisfaction and more.
My work hard just went to another level, because my playtime just got real:)
Oh yes ladies and gentleman, let’s devote some time to playing this year like we never have.
Become intentional with me on setting treats for yourself and making them happen.
No excuses.
Just execution.
Repeat after me, “I am going to treat myself really good this year!”
