Most technology uses what we call apps for different needs.
On our cell phones we can have up to 100 apps if storage allows.
I personally love the options of different apps that allows me the functionality I need for my everyday life. I even say that as long as I have either my phone, or iPad I have my office with me and I can work.
The first time I experienced the new upgrades to my cell phone that allowed me to down load apps I was excited. Some of us would say we may have even gone on overload getting apps, only to find out we would only use our few favorites.
When an app is open on our phone/tablet or we move between apps working or playing games, it uses what we call battery life.
The more apps open the more battery life is used; which means we may be charging our phone or tablets more often than expected. Having to recharge too often is an indication we may have apps open and working in the background.
Like the apps that drain our battery, too many unresolved thoughts can drain our life.
Have you ever experienced an overload of thoughts and emotions that distracted you form your life or kept you awake at night? I define those moments as too many apps open in your head.
Our minds can store more things than we realize. In our thoughts we have years and years of stuff, some things we are too embarrassed to even share.
The important focus of this blog I want you to get is simply this; Close out old thoughts.
In this new year, do not make plans to lose weight, change jobs/career, go back to school, invest or more if you have not decided to deal with old thinking patterns.
You are able to identify open apps or thoughts in your life by the frequency of what interrupts your regularly schedule programs. There are things running in the background that are silently stealing your peace, joy, happiness, ability to move forward and even a good night sleep.
With an app it does not have the ability to close it self out if it has been open for a long period of time. There is no expiration on apps. Within time an app could have issues that need fixing, that is called bugs in the program. Same thing happens with those open thoughts, or as I called them some times; files.
The power of closure is in the hands of the one who opened them.
It is my personal experience that some apps need to be deleted because they slow down and affect the optimum level of performance.
With everything you want to do this year, do a self examination and deal with the things running behind the scenes that slow you down.
Please do not spend too much time getting rid of people in your life when it is the old baggage of thinking that you really need to deal with.
Remember you are the one in control of the open and close of thoughts, and no one else.
Do not allow another day or minute to be stolen from you with thoughts that no longer matter.
Give yourself to delete thinking patterns that have led you down negative roads.
Invest into new thoughts that feed your passion and ignite dreams and visions to move forward.
This year take the leap of faith you want, without having the baggage to go with it!
It is a new year. New opportunities, or for some of us another chance at the old opportunities we failed to take.
Close out the apps running in the background of your life and begin to live at the maximum level of your potential!!
