Water is the last thing most of us want to drink but the most important beverage we need to drink.
Our body which is mostly water needs to be supplied with plenty of H2O in order to stay healthy.
One day years ago as I went through my day, this crazy pain hit me!! Could this be a heart attack, anxiety over taking me, or just stress induced high blood pressure.
The answer my friend to the cause of my pain was dehydration!! Yup the lack of drinking water.
Have you ever tried stretching and got what most people call a Charlie horse? . It’s a sign that our body is lacking H2O….not more juice or sodas but that clear stuff without taste.
I have heard so many reasons why people can’t or don’t like water. I agree it has no taste. There are many ideas on the web of how to drink more water by adding a little of this or more of that. For me the excuses all lead to this conclusion …..you would rather be sick, filled with toxins and deal with pain than drink a tasteless glass of water.
Back to me. I had this pain hit my life and woke me up!! Once I went to the doctor and they told me what it was; I vowed they would not see me nor my co pay again about dehydration. Not your girl!!
Over the years I have been an advocate for water. My children could not drink any juice when they were little unless they had 2 cups of 8-10 ounces of water. To some people it may sound cruel, for me it was love in action. I love my babies too much to keep the best things in life from them and water was one because it helps with good health.
Today as I write this blog, I am reminded of many things that water helped me to avoid. One being having really sick children. We can’t control anything, but we can use prevention to ensure certain things are not apart of our life.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not against other beverages …well yes I am; the sugary kind that leads to being overly hyper and having too much sugar in your blood.
I am not doctor, nurse or in the health field. Its my desire to share my experience and perhaps encourage someone who reads this, to make that decision to add the best beverage in their diet:)
My children shared with me this year, that I act as if water is the cure to all that makes us sick, weak and tired. I can not prove it, but I do believe the more water I drink (along with a healthy diet) the better my body functions. Lack of water leads to great fatigue, headaches, pain, muscle spasms and more.
If you are like me, you want to look your best and be your best. One thing that I am cautious of is my breath…yes I do not like stink breath!! All the toothpaste in the world can not help the most gruesome breath. Water will wash away those toxins in that body that contributes to the foul odor coming out your mouth…hope I helped someone right there:)
Now that you have the answer to fresh breath. Make it your goal to give yourself what it needs…more water!!
When summer comes we are doing more, and the sun can pull out of us more than expected. Please keep hydrated with as much water as possible. If you must consume other liquids let water be the majority not the minority.
