Parent Rules

Look both ways before you cross the road.

Don’t run in the house

Don’t speak to strangers.
Never take candy from a stranger.

Always say thank you and please.
Stay out of grown people conversations.

Tell the truth even if you may get in trouble.
Whatever happens in this house is our business.

Do not talk about my business with anyone.
Don’t talk with your mouth full.

Keep your elbows off the table.
Say good morning when you see me.

Don’t answer me with a shrug shoulder.
Be home at curfew or you will be grounded.

Don’t do as I do…do as I say.
Because I said so.

Turn off the lights when you leave a room.
Wash your dishes when you use them.

Be polite.
Respect your elders.

Call me as soon as you get home.
No one is allowed in the house when I am not home.

Your friends reflect who you are so choose good friends.

Keep your room clean.

Parents have rules that they view as serious. When I was younger I thought they were not necessary. Once I became a parent I realized that rules were important. As a parent of seven I had to add some new boundaries and even revised the old ones.

Do you recall any rules your parent or guardian had that you may or may not use? Share them with me, I would love to hear them.
